Continuous Homogenizing Furnaces

For mainstream AA6000 series alloys the Continuous homogenizing concept is the first choice. The majority of these billets are homogenized in one of the 130 continuous homogenizing furnaces manufactured by Hertwich.

Batch Homogenizing Furnaces

The batch homogenizing furnace is still the best technology for alloys which require long holding times up to 15 hours, large log diameters, frequent temperature changes, or intermittent production.

Cooling Stations and Chambers

To meet customer requirements, the new batch furnace series includes the possibility of cooling. The Batch Cooling Station is equipped with several radial fans to cool down the homogenized log stack at a desired cooling rate.

Batch Stacking & Unstacking Stations

Hertwich batch homogenizing plants come with an automated stacking and destacking equipment for lowest operating costs and enhanced safety. Automated plants come with spacer manipulator, spacer magazines and a crane for handling log layers.
